You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

UN46ES6100 (but this review could easily apply to the 40,50,55 and 60 inch models) PLEASE READ!

Let me start off by stating that I am rating this pretty much solely on the picture quality, because the Smart Hub on this is completely junk. So why would I still give this TV 4 stars when the selling feature on this is the Smart Tv feature, because the TV itself is absolutely stunning when it comes to picture quality.

I've accepted the fact that the Smart TV feature is garbage on this TV. Sadly Samsung is aware that they drop the ball big time on creating a good Smart TV. That being said though you probably won't find to many TV's that have a good Smart TV function and picture quality as good as this (except the Sony Bravia......but it will cost you big time). Between my friends and I we have tried almost all the new TV's that have come out, and to be honest none of the new Smart TV's have impressed me. LG comes pretty close with the whole package for a good price, but still (in my opinion) does not compare to this TV when it comes to picture quality.

The apps are attached through the Smart Hub which means, yes, they also run slow. I run my streaming apps through my Blu-Ray player and it looks great. It's weird that an external source such as a Blu-ray player runs apps better that a tv that has apps and software built into it. Smart Hub is absolutely useless on this TV, everything from the browser to the apps are ridiculously slow. I give the Smart Hub feature a 1 out of 10. It works, but barely. This feature is not ready for prime time.

Now, down to the nitty gritty. The reason this TV is still great is because I personally love the look of their Auto-Motion feature. Some say it looks "soap opery", but I love it. You can turn off Automotion easily and it still delivers in 120hz mode. This TV has a whooping 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast that completely delivers. The picture quality is very crisp and colors are very vibrant (Actually to be honest, out of the box it's too vibrant. You will have to play around with it. Check the bottom of this post, I'll supply a professionally calibrated configuration to help some of you). HDTV looks great. Everything is so clear it does almsot seem like there is no screen dividing you from the movie. Blu-Rays on this is an experience all to itself. So in conclusion for picture I give this a 10 out of 10.

Sound is decent on this. It's not bad. It does have it's moments with low end bass a little. Coarse my theory on sound on a TV like this is, if you bought this TV your probably like me and had some inkling that your future foretold a certain sound system......maybe a nice sound bar. So in conclusion for sound I give this 7 out of 10. Very passable sound for sure.

Comparing a the UN46ES6100 to the UN46EH600 (Similar Samsung TV minus the Smart TV)
Here is a valuble piece of information. If your looking for a Samsung TV with all the same qualification but no Smart TV feature, go with the UN46EH6000 (40,46,50,55,60). Although this TV does match up in every way, the picture quality is a little less (about half million in the dynamic contrast department, which actually isn't much when considering the naked eye) on the UN46EH6000, but you will save about 300 bucks. By the way, if you compare these two TV using Amazon they will tell you the match up, but after talking to Samsung they gave me the real specs. These TV's are comparable, but not the same. They would leave you to think the the Smart feature is the only difference. My personal opinion, get the UN46ES6100. In the long run you want the best picture quality. Right?

In final conclusion, I really like this TV .....a lot (the UN46ES6100, bad on topic). If you read the other reviews the biggest beef is clearly with the Smart Hub, which to be honest is completely accurate. In fact this problem is not isolated to this model, it would seem that all the 2012 Samsung's that attempted the Smart Hub failed miserably. I bought this TV for $899 at Costco and to be honest I have not come across a TV yet that compares for the price. In fact this TV performs at the rate of most TV's that go for double the price. So if you buy this TV know that you will be disappointed in the Smart Hub feature but very surprised at the picture quality. Maybe the best you'll see for awhile. I give this TV a solid 8.5/10.....and I'm actually hard to please.

Those calibrations that I promised:

These calibrations were done professionally by the guys at lcdbuyingguide....(dotcom). They worked awesomely to get my TV looking perfect.

You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

I don't normally write reviews, but am doing so now, as this is a huge investment for anyone thinking of buying this TV and I would like to share my own observations.
We have owned this TV for only a week, but after many hours getting acquainted, we are already quite familiar. If you are unpacking this item and mounting it on the wall - a couple of important points. Firstly, the danger with any large TV is that the screen may crack if it is allowed to flex. So, be very careful handling it. The TV comes in a huge carton, which lifts off vertically. There is another similar carton inside and this also lifts off, leaving the TV sitting on its stand, in the bottom of the carton. Removing the stand and attaching the replacement plastic cover could be tricky, but the solution is to have your partner lift one end of the TV and rest it on a pile of books 3 high and then to do the same to the other end. This way, when you remove the 5 screws, the stand drops away and you can easily lift the TV on to the wall mount, after attaching the cover that replaces the stand. After removing the heavy stand, the TV weighs a little under 100 lbs. Several reviewers have mentioned that other big TVs weigh more than double this. The first impression, after the TV is mounted is just how slim it is and the bezel is very thin too.
So, about the TV itself. We looked at an Elite 70" and a Sharp 80". Both are excellent TVs. In the store, most TVs are set to "vibrant" or "store" mode, which gives an artifically bright, high contrast picture. We asked for the TVs to be set on normal and natural settings, so we could see the detail clearly. Stores also vary in the quality of their input signal. In the end, it seemed very clear to us that the highly-priced Samsung 75" was the best.
When my wife and I set up the new TV at home, the picture was already great, despite several reviews that say you need to get help calibrating it. After experimenting, we set the TV to the standard setting and also slightly reduced the contrast to around 85. The picture is unbelievably good. We have U-verse and I noticed that, despite the extremely good picture, sometimes close facial detail would be missing, unlike on our 47" Samsung, where you can see every pore. After a little research and talking to AT&T, I realised that the reason is that U-verse and other cable providers are pumping out 1080i - NOT 1080p. On a smaller TV, like our 47", you can not see this, but when the screen is 75", you lose a tiny bit of detail - although, as I said, the picture is still fantastic. Off the record, a couple of the U-verse people told me that both 1080p and 3D are coming. Someone mentioned that only Directv is currently transmitting 1080p.
Here's the thing, we have a TV with maybe the best quailty picture we have ever seen, but we know that it will get even better, so I next rented a blue ray movie and the picture is now truly staggering. On closeups, every hair is shown in fine detail. This is an incredible TV! The instruction book isn't that hot. Bit thin on info. The 4 supplied 3D glasses are excellent. We have only tried the built-in demo 3D movie extrects, but it is really very very good. Not sure I will use this feature much. The TV comes with 2 remotes - a standard one and another that has components like a laptop touchpad. The TV also responds to hand signals and the spoken word, but frankly, we prefer to press normal buttons. The wireless features are good and connect easily to YouTube, Halo etc. The ambiant room auto-dimming works very well, unlike our 47" that tends to make the screen too dark in low light conditions.
If you can afford this mightly TV, it is, in my opinion, the best out there, by a mile. Don't fall for the $999 extended warranty. The store makes 50% profit on that and if the unit doesn't fail during the normal warranty period, it should go on for many years. I registered the TV online and Sumsung gives you 15 months, instead of 12, for doing so.
One last piece of advice for anyone who has bothered to read all this. Our wall mount has quick release tabs that hang down at the back. Because the TV is so large, you can't reach these tabs and need to spend 20 mins with a bent coat hanger trying to reach them. Tie string to each of them.
Oh yes, one other thing, several reviewers suggested turning of the auto motion plus feature. This is a personal choice. I turned it off and was watching some British motor racing. Cars shooting across the screen. I could see a little jerking. I turned the auto motion feature back on and not only was the fast movement corrected, but the picture also seemed to look better.
Hope this helps!

You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

I really love this TV. This is my first flat screen TV. I did a lot of homework before zeroing on this TV.

I purchased it based on the following features:
- It is a smart HDTV, LED - 60Hz and this year's model available at considerably better price as compared to even last year models with similar features. Though, I would have been very happy if I could have closed the deal at $ 650 :-p

I did see the earlier reviews for this TV but most seemed like user training issues.

The sound/picture quality is excellent. Picture quality will seem dull with the eco friendly setting of Standard. However, it is configurable per your liking and the user manual is very effective in identifying and setting up your needs. 3 HDMI + 2 USB available

Setting up Network/WI FI is also very easy.

Depending on Internet speed, the smart TV works good. Youtube videos does not stream so fast for me directly through the TV but when I connect to my laptop through HDMI, it just works fine.

Movies through Netflix are great. No 3D but I did not want it. The LED TV comparison chart that Amazon provides is very helpful in determining what features you need and what you do not need.

The Kids stories is very useful for my 3 yr old son. Recently saw our first 1080p HD movie "Journey to the center of the earth" and it was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Movie files with .vob,.avi and .wmv works perfect. I have not tried others yet. Even, if some do not work, there are many sites where we have converters available. So this is not a big deal too.

On the whole, it is a great TV with very good features. Its a good tradeoff between the basic models this year and the higher end versions which made it attractive for me. I did not have to settle for a lower less feature version nor wanted to go for umpteen number of features with a higher version costing above 1000 bucks.

You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

This was not only my first HDTV purchase ever, but my first TV purchase, period. I'd managed to live with hand-me-down and garage-sale TVs up til now, but I decided I wanted something nice for a change. I don't subscribe to cable or satellite television, so I wanted something that had some built-in "smart" capabilities. I also wanted something that wasn't going to break the bank. I really dislike 3D content, so I decidedly did NOT want a 3D TV. Finding a nice TV that has smart features and *isn't* 3D is getting harder and harder. For the most part, this TV has fit the bill, and I've been happy with my purchase.

I thought about putting together a list of pros and cons, but that didn't really seem to work too well with this particular review, so I've listed some general notes below:

-- PICTURE QUALITY
In a word, excellent. Granted, I don't have a whole lot to compare it to, but it's one of the best I've seen. Blacks are good, as are whites. Images are nice and crisp when viewing HD content.

-- TURNING OFF TRUMOTION
The one thing that gave me a real headache with this TV was figuring out how to turn off the TruMotion setting. I know some people are really jazzed about the 120 Hz view and the lack of motion blur, but to me, it made everything look like I was watching a soap opera. (Don't know what I'm talking about? Google "soap opera effect.")

So I turned it off. That was easy enough: Settings -->' Picture '--> Picture Option '--> TruMotion '--> OFF. There, fixed! Or so I thought. It fixed it for the TV input. But then I started watching something on Netflix (via the app on the TV), and the dreaded soap-opera effect was back!

It took me several days of online searching and talking to friends before I figured out that you have to REPEAT THIS process for EVERY SINGLE INPUT. (e.g. Input '--> HDMI 1 -->' Settings '--> Picture '--> Picture Settings '--> TruMotion '--> OFF.) And for the built-in apps, like Netflix, you have to start a video, then go the QMENU -->' Set Video -->' Picture Option '--> TruMotion -->' OFF.

Once you've set it for each input and app, though, it does stay defaulted to that. So at least you only have to do it once, not every time you start a new video. I found no online documentation ANYWHERE that specified this, though, so I thought it was definitely worth mentioning in this review. Hopefully it will help someone else.

-- SOUND QUALITY
Not as great, though not as bad as some flat-panels I've heard. You can turn it up as loud as you want, but after about the half-way point on the volume scale, there's not much difference. It's the same way with my parents' LG HDTV, which is a few years old. I solved this problem by hooking up an external home stereo system (Sony BRAVIA DAV-DZ170 Home Theater System) and bypassing the TV's built-in audio altogether.

-- "SMART" FEATURES
The "smart" features were one of the selling points for me. When it comes down to it, though, I only really use 2 of them - Netflix and Hulu Plus. Some of the reviews (and comments on reviews) suggested that this unit might have an Amazon Instant Video app. It does not. Let me repeat: THIS TV DOES NOT HAVE AN AMAZON INSTANT VIDEO APP. And from what I can tell from various sources online, it never will. No idea why, since there are other LG HDTVs that do. This one just isn't one of them. One user suggested that it just required a firmware update. My firmware is up to date, and there is still no Amazon app. Sorry, people. It just doesn't exist.

The "premium" apps this TV comes with (or at least, the ones mine came with) are:
-- Vudu
-- Hulu Plus
-- MOG
-- AccuWeather.com
-- MLB.TV
-- Netflix
-- CinemaNow
-- YouTube
-- NHL
-- vTuner
-- Associated Press
-- Facebook
-- Picasa
-- Google Maps

The LG app store is a joke. Forget finding anything you would ever want, much less be willing to pay for, in that store.

The online browser is also a joke. If you have to view a website on your TV (e.g. a network television website or Amazon Instant, etc. to view a video), your best bet is to hook up a computer via HDMI. Don't bother trying to do it with the built-in browser. It may work, but it won't work well, and it will be a painful experience. Trust me, I tried.

The YouTube app is pretty weak. It works, but it's less user-friendly than even the mobile YouTube website. Good luck finding anything specific.

The Netflix and Hulu Plus apps work well enough. They're not as user-friendly to navigate through as their respective websites, but that's to be expected, and I've found that it's easy enough just to queue up things on the computer first, and then play them from the TV apps. That saves you a lot of annoying "typing" with the magic remote.

I haven't tried any of the others. I see absolutely no reason why I would want to view Google maps, Associated Press content, Twitter or Facebook on my TV. I don't watch sports, so the MLB.TV and NHL apps are of no use to me. I have no idea how well they work. I'm a pretty loyal Pandora user, so I haven't tried MOG. I just plug in my iPhone to my stereo system when I want to listen to music.

-- SMART SHARE
It works, but it's not very user-friendly, in my experience. I was able to connect my Win7 laptop to the TV without much difficulty, but it's virtually impossible to search for a particular song or album or artist via the Smart Share interface - browsing seems to be the only option, and that can be a real pain when you have a LOT of music/videos/etc. to scroll through.

Streaming music seems to work just fine, but streaming video resulted in a lot of lag, and I've got a great WiFi network set up here. Anything over about 480p just doesn't really stream well on this TV, in my experience.

It also seems to lock up the TV frequently, requiring you to turn it off and on again before you can do anything.

-- THE "MAGIC" REMOTE
Many people have complained that this thing is annoying. I don't have a problem with it. It's like a Wii remote: you wave it around, and the cursor on screen follows your movement. There aren't a lot of buttons on it, though - volume up/down, channel up/down, Home (which takes you to the main app/input selection screen), Back (which exits out of the screen you're in), a scroll wheel that serves as channel up/down when you scroll and an "enter/select" key when you press it, a Help button, and an Input button.

Since I don't have cable TV, I don't have a lot of channels to scroll through when I'm watching actual television, so the lack of a number pad doesn't bother me. But I would find it annoying to have to use a different remote or manage to figure out how to bring up the on-screen number pad if I had hundreds of channels at my disposal and wanted to go to a particular channel instead of just scrolling through them all.

The remote sometimes takes a moment to register, too. I've found that you have to wave it around for a second or two before the TV realizes you want to do something and brings up the cursor. I frequently have to recalibrate it, too, by waving it around in a figure-eight motion, to get it to actually recognize my motions.

-- SIMPLINK
Works nicely. It was pretty easy to hook up my home theater system so that it turns on and off automatically with the TV.

-- THE INPUTS
The inputs all seem fine, and they're plentiful. I don't have that many devices that needed connecting - a DVD player/home theater system and occasionally my laptop (when I want to watch something on Amazon Instant Video or something on another website). It's easy to swap between inputs.

-- THE OUTPUTS
It's a little annoying that this TV only supports digital optical audio out, with no other analog options, but I guess it's not really unexpected, given the cost of the system. It hasn't posed a problem for me, but it's something to be aware of if you have an older stereo system that doesn't support that kind of input.

-- THE PHYSICAL STRUCTURE OF THE UNIT
I was actually pretty impressed with this. I'd heard horror stories about how unstable and top-heavy HDTVs could be. I bought the 42" and have it mounted on the stand that came with it. It feels pretty sturdy to me. I have cats who seem to think the space between the back of the TV and the wall is the perfect hiding place, and while I definitely do not approve of them being back there (and make them move every time I witness it), they haven't even nudged it.

The swivel feature is also useful, since I have it positioned at one angle when I'm watching alone, but want it angled more to the left when there are more people watching, due to the position of my sofa. Swiveling the TV on the stand doesn't feel unstable at all, which I was a little worried about initially.

-- PRICE
The price on this unit is excellent. You won't find a lower price anywhere, and if you do - even if it's after you've already made your purchase (as long as it's within 14 days of delivery) - Amazon will honor it, per their "TV Low Price Guarantee" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200556860). I purchased this unit at $749, and by the time it shipped, the Amazon price was already $20 lower. They reimbursed me the difference, which was really nice. I see now it's even cheaper. While there are some quirks with the system, this is an unbeatable price for a great TV.

Amazing picture, great definition and contrast. Far better than the smaller Samsung I replaced.
At first I was turned off by the audio, it seemed like I was constantly having to turn the sound up because it was too low, then it would be too loud so I would have to turn it down again. On the menu for sound I found there is something called AVL, which I guess means something like Automatic Volume Level, but the user manual does not even mention it. I turned AVL off and the audio is great now.
The automated setup menu worked very well and I had it up with a picture in less than 30 minutes from the time the box came in the house.
I found the user manual to be close to useless. The print is so tiny and light I can't read it without a magnifying glass. I'm a senior citizen and even with correctivve lenses my sight is far from 20 - 20, but I think they could have done much better.
The manual seems to cover stuff I don't really care about but when it comes to just wanting to watch TV it leaves a lot to be desired.
If the manual was any good I would have rated this TV with 5 stars.

You can trust my review, bad or good is your choice and i hope you can try to buy this product and then you know this product good or no. Next time you can make a review for another people.

I recently purchased the Sony Bravia EX720 from a local electronics store (and not Amazon, since I prefer to make large electronic purchases locally in the event I need to quickly return and exchange a defective item). Overall, the TV is good, but not great. Here is a quick down and dirty list of "in my opinion (IMO)" pros and cons:

Pros:

- High quality LED side-lit LCD screen
- True 1080P 3D and Hi-definition capable, but with some limitations
- Colors and contrast are vibrant, once you take the time to manually adjust the picture settings
- Built-in 3D transmitter; no need to buy the external transmitter which saves you about $35
- 3D effects are very good overall, but best results can only be attained by watching 3D Blu Ray movies
- Artifical 3D option in the 3D options works decently and provides an alternative to playing PC games in 3D without having to use the NVidia 3D Vision or 3DTV Play drivers; this allows you to maintain up to 60fps frame rates without have to revert to a 24hz (24fps) refresh rate
- No 3D ghosting evident, but you may need to make manual adjustments to the depth effect - I needed to do this
- 4 x HDMI 1.4 ports
- Internet capable right out of the box
- Swivel and 6 degree backward tilt adjustable
- Directly compatible with the Sony PS3 (shouldn't be a surprise since it is a Sony TV)
- TV firmware can be updated, but does require internet connectivity
- Weight of TV is 25lbs - very light and easy to move or mount on wall without worry of mounting screws tearing out of the studs in the wall!
- Shortcut keys on the Remote are very convenient and will save you time from having to dig down into the sub-menus everytime just to make adjustments to certain functions

Cons:

- NOT a 240hz 3D TV; Sony.com website lists the specifications for this model as "120hz" refresh rate (AMAZON NEEDS TO FIX THE LISTED DESCRIPTION FOR THIS TV NOW!)
- Had to contact Sony customer support directly to verify which Sony 3D glasses model is compatible with the KDL-32EX720; their website did not provide this information; confirmed with the tech rep that the TDGBR100/B version is compatible with the KDL-32EX720; important to note the "B" Think of it as the "B" represents "Bravia" :)
- 3D viewing @ 1080P limited to only 24hz and 30hz?? 24hz = 24fps & 30hz = 30fps That's not a problem for watching 3D Blu Ray movies (or watching converted 2D movies into 3D), but is not acceptable if you want to play computer games on this TV; part of the reason why I bought it
- Takes a few hours to manually adjust the picture just the way you want it; you will need to go into the "Advanced Settings" to change things like White Balance, Black Level correction, Edge enhancement, etc.
- Priced a bit high for not having 3D glasses included or a 240hz refresh rate; WARNING! The glasses cost $150 separately O.o
- Power cord is hard-wired into the TV; would have preferred a universal power cord solution so that it could be replaced easily should it get damaged
- Remote control is a bit clunky and large and does not provide universal remote functionality as it only allows for control of the TV; unlike other remotes that allow you to conrol several devices - a universal remote function would have been nice for me because I could have used the remote to control both the TV and my Sony PS3; not sure why Sony would not allow for this other than to make more money from their customers...no way! lol

BOTTOMLINE:

Depending on your intentions of what the primary use of this TV is/are will ultimately determine your final decision to buy it or not. If you plan to watch regular and 3D Blu Ray movies and like the convenience of the integrated internet functionality, then this TV is a good choice, albeit a bit expensive when considering you have to pay $150 more for the 3D glasses. The picture quality when watching Blu Ray movies is excellent and there are lots of options to configure the picture appearance according to your specific tastes/preferences. Think of it as adjusting the driver's seat on a brand new car that you are thinking of buying. You really don't know exactly the right settings until you have had it for a while, but when you do figure it out, the ride was well worth the wait.

I would NOT recommend you buy this TV if you plan to do serious 3D computer gaming on it. I highly recommend you wait for the new 27" and larger "true" 120hz 3D monitors coming out later this year. Because of the limitations of the frame rates when using 3D mode on this TV, I've decided to keep my Alienware OptX AW2310 3D computer monitor so that I can get the best 3D experience while PC gaming.

To those who are a bit more serious about there hardware and do not want to compromise, I would highly recommend you wait to buy the 240hz or 480hz version of this TV (not yet released) and maybe even wait for HDMI 1.5 which is rumored to support 3D (stereo) 1080P @ 60hz :)

Overall, the Sony Bravia KDL-32EX720 is a very good, but not great 3D TV that seems to be the "Jack of All", but the "Master of None".

Going wireless is easy with the UWA-BR100 Wi-Fi adapter (sold separately). Just plug it in and get ready to stream movies, photos, music and videos straight to your TV from the Internet or your home network. If you'd prefer a wired connection, use the built-in Ethernet port and you're all set.

  • DLNA Streaming

Presence Sensor

Save energy when you're not around. This television's built-in motion sensor has the ability to scan the room and detect movement. If the sensor detects no movement, it automatically turns off the picture, leaving only sound. After more time and no movement, the TV turns itself off minimizing any unnecessary power draw.

Navigation Made Easy

Enjoy an easy-to-use menu that allows you to navigate additional content or adjust the picture settings while watching your favorite program.

Faster Start-Up

The Quick Start & Viewing feature enables this Sony television to go from 'OFF' to 'ON' 2-3 times faster than previous Sony televisions. Why wait for your entertainment?

USB Input

A handy USB port lets you share your photos on the big screen, or even listen to your favorite music. Simply connect your digital camera, USB-enabled MP3 player, or USB storage device, and you're good to go.

BRAVIA Sync Compatible

If you've got other Sony devices in your home theater setup this will come in handy. Conveniently operate and control other BRAVIA Sync compatible devices--including BRAVIA HDTVs, Blu-ray Disc Players, surround sound systems, Handycam camcorders, and Cyber-shot digital still cameras--all with one remote control.

LightSensor Technology

Enjoy customized picture brightness and save energy without lifting a finger. The built-in Light Sensor automatically adjusts the picture brightness based on the amount of light in the room. Get the best picture day or night, without any manual adjustments.
